Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramírez, a Dominican Republic actress, singer, model and a beauty queen, has represented Dominican Republic in Miss World and Miss Universe in 2016 and 2013 respectively, making her probably the most accomplished beauty queen of her country.
Giving absolutely stunning performances, Yaritza began her pageantry career when she was crowned Miss Dominican Republic 2013 and went on to represent Dominican Republic in Miss Universe 2013. With her outstanding performance, she placed in the Top 10 at the international contest which was held in Moscow, Russia. Becoming a people's favourite overnight with her success, Yaritza moved forward with even more enthusiasm and determination. She was the third woman of predominantly African heritage to represent the Dominican Republic in Miss Universe after Ruth Ocumárez in 2002 and Ada de la Cruz in 2009.
In the same year, Yaritza also represented Dominican Republic at Reina Hispanoamericana 2013 where she placed as the virreina at the end of the event finale. Having two international pageants experience under her belt, Yaritza sure showed she had immense potential and as if conquering Universe was not enough she would not stop until she conquered the whole world.
Her chance came again in 2016 when Yaritza competed in Miss Mundo Dominicana 2016 as she won the national crown and represented her country in Miss World 2016. Yaritza, with her fire-cracking performance, placed as the first runner-up. After her Miss World stint, Yaritza completed her journey of competing in two major international pageants.
After achieving everything she could in the pageant world, Yaritza moved on to become a successful actress in her country but sure has not forgotten to still embody the true essence of who a beauty queen is. Lately, she has been into honing another skill of hers which is singing and can be seen recording videos on her social media and captivating everyone with her voice amidst the lockdown.
