It was the day of celebration for Zoiey Worlds when she was crowned Miss United Continents United Kingdom 2017 on June 10' 2017. But according to the recent buzz, the beauty has handed over her crown after being told she was too fat to compete at an international level and was asked to reduce weight. Zoiey was all excited and prepping up to participate in the Miss United Continents 2017 competition slated to be held on 23rd September 2017 in Ecuador.

Weeks after getting crowned, the organizers of Miss United Continents UK told Zoiey that she needed to lose as much weight as possible to stand a chance of winning the competition. She said, “It was one of those things, in the 21st century you don't actually expect people to be that blunt.” She was meant to travel to Ecuador this September to compete for the title of Miss United Continents, but just weeks after being crowned the Miss United Kingdom her dream collapsed.

Zoiey Worlds handed back her crown because of being too fat

In July, the national director who was supporting her through the final phases of the contest informed her that the Ecuadorian directors wanted her to lose weight.

According to the beauty, the director rang her and said, “I’ve had some feedback from the international director. “I was like, "OK, fine I'm always open to new ideas. She tried to put it tactfully but I knew exactly what she was getting at.”

“They want you to go on a diet plan and they want you to lose as much weight as possible for the finals." I was like, "pardon?” It was one of those things; in the 21st century, you don't actually expect people to be that blunt.

“I handed my title back because I'm not going to support a competition that can do that to people, I just think it's so, so wrong. People wonder why there's a stigma behind beauty pageants and this is not really helping the matter. When I did the UK finals it was really big on promoting charity work and giving, which are the sort of pageants that I wanted to enter and that's the sort I've always entered.” She ended.

Zoiey Worlds, who has been competing in pageants since the age of 18, decided that she now does not want to compete in the finals in Ecuador. Miss United Continent’s organization, on the other hand, has not commented on the same as of now.
