Corrin Stellakis Miss Earth USA 2016 is one of our favourite contestants for Miss Earth 2016.The 19 years old American beauty is a student of Communication and Social Interaction. Corrin believes that Education is the key to reducing the effects of climate change, because the more people know the facts the more they will make an effort to aid the cause.
Explaining her environmental advocacy, Corrin says, “I feel most passionate about water conservation and keeping our bodies of water clean. I chose this platform because water is the source of life. Less than 2% of water on our earth is fresh and renewed by the water cycle. We need clean water to survive, to cultivate, and to innovate. Over one billion people do not have access to safe drinking water. Water is both a global and a local issue, and that is why I advocate for water conservation and keeping our bodies of water clean.”
Corrin Stellakis is not a newbie to the pageant world as other consider her a veteran for joining previous pageants. Corrin was crowned Miss Junior Oz in 2012 and won the pageant that gave her confidence to further advance her competitiveness in the pageantry world. This was when she realized that she has the potential to continue her experience and journey to excel in the world of pageantry. Corrin also represented New York for Miss Teen 2014 national beauty pageant, but she went unplaced during that competition.
Raised on a horse farm near Syracuse, New York, Corrin's favourite activities are horseback riding, volleyball, and spending time with her family. She has great respect and admiration for her grandmother whom she affectionately refers to as “Grammy.” Her Grammy has always been her number one fan, and has inspired her to set larger goals and dreams.
The young beauty loves hiking the Grand Canyon in the state of Arizona. For her, the magnificence of the Grand Canyon is indescribable, and she loved admiring the beauty of nature.
Being a woman of many ethnicities, Corrin would like to promote the diversity of her country. Although she is a German, Polish, Italian, Irish and Greek, she is proud to say that she’s All-American.
Corrin wants to influence a chain reaction to protect the Earth. She says, “I believe that the best way to spread our message is to connect with people. I truly believe that there is so much good in this world. I want to help people choose good, and I want to unify the people on Earth so that we can all put forth the effort to sustain it.”
USA is a powerful sash in Miss Earth and is one of the most successful countries in Miss Earth pageant.
