The Lifetime Goodwill Ambassador award ensures that Katherine can enjoy the amenities of the province just as the locals can and will have all the rights equal to a person living in the province. The beauty queen was awarded for her incredible efforts and work on environmental problems persisting in the state. The Ilocos Sur province is located in the Ilocos Region in Luzon. 
 
Katherine who attracted many of her Filipino fans with her environmental and has inspired many environmentalists and nature lovers around the world. Katherine was crowned as the Miss Earth 2016 crown queen during the finale of the beauty pageant which was held on the 29th in October in 2016 from amongst many contenders from all around the globe. The stunner will continue with some amazing work during her reign this year.
