Check out the contestants for Miss Universe 2016 Kick Off Event

Eleven contestants out of the total number of finalists competing for the Miss Universe 2016 title are in Philippines now, no they are not here for the gala finale but for the kick-off event that is slated to take place on 10th December 2016. These 11 contestants will join the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina for the event.

The official list of eleven delegates was released by the Department of Tourism (DOT), and according to the list the contestants who will join in the kick-off event will be from Miss New Zealand Tania Pauline Dawson, Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Miss Korea Jenny Kim, Miss China Zhenying Li, Miss Australia Emily Caris Tivel, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Le Hang, Miss Malaysia Kiranmeet Kaur Baljeet Singh, Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Tun, and Miss Indonesia Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw.

Eleven candidates who will be competing in the next Miss Universe pageant will be in the Philippines for the 65th Miss Universe welcome party which will be held tomorrow, December 10; joining reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Binibining Pilipinas Maxine Medina.

According to the official list which was released by the Department of Tourism (DOT) yesterday, the 11 beauty queens who will be in the welcome party at Conrad Hotel in Pasay City are Miss New Zealand Tania Pauline Dawson, Miss USA Deshauna Barber, Miss Korea Jenny Kim, Miss China Zhenying Li, Miss Australia Emily Caris Tivel, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Le Hang, Miss Malaysia Kiranmeet Kaur Baljeet Singh, Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Tun, and Miss Indonesia Kezia Roslin Cikita Warouw.

DOT also revealed that President Duterte will receive the first batch of the Miss Universe hopefuls, however the arrival date of the contestants is yet to be announced. The delegates will stay in Philippines for about a week and will explore the beauty of the place.

The finale of Miss Universe 2016 is scheduled to be held on 30th January 2016.
