The gala finale of Miss World Mongolia 2016 held on 22nd October 2016 concluded with the crowning of Bayartsetseg Altangerel as the winner. Bayartsetseg will now represent the country at the Miss World 2016 pageant to be held on 18th December 2016.

Bayartsetseg is not new to the world of beauty pageants, and the beauty has been a contestant at Miss Earth 2015. Bayartsetseg made it to the Top 16 finalists at the pageant. She also competed at Miss International 2014, but was unplaced. Bayartsetseg’s eco-beauty video during the Miss Earth pageant was a delight to watch and garnered many praises.
25 years old Bayartsetseg stands tall at a towering height of 5’9” and has been a part of various social causes which mainly involved working for environmental campaigns and organisations. She is also involved as a co-runner of a mentorship program for orphan children.
Her experience at the pageants will only add up to her advantage while competing at the Miss World 2016. Going by her experience, it looks like the Mongolian beauty has improved and groomed herself to a great extent, and is all prepared to give her best at the Miss World pageant this year. In addition to the beauty pageants experience, Bayartsetseg is also a cast member of Netflix’s hit series Marco Polo. She wants to pursue her acting career further and is setting her sights on Hollywood.

The only time Mongolia made a placement at the Miss World pageant was in the year 2010, when the country made it to the Top 25 finalists list.
