Gabriela Castillo was crowned Miss Earth Guatemala 2020 on 13th September 2020 and is representing the home country for the title of Miss Earth 2020.
The diva’s advocacy for the competition is promoting adaptation over mitigation. She explains that if we learn to adapt ourselves, to get to know and love the ecosystems that surrounds us, just like we do every time we start an academic career, a job or even when we get to know new people, we will be able to avoid the necessity to mitigate the negative impacts of our acts towards our Mother Earth. By adapting, will mean to get to know our Mother Earth and learning how to live in it.
