Merel Hendriksen was crowned Miss Earth Netherlands 2022 at the finale of Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2022 held on 3rd July 2022 at Studio 21 Hilversum as she became the official representative of Netherlands at Miss Earth 2022. Merel is 24 years of age and hails from the province of Gelderland. As a profession, Merel works as a Sustainable Interior Designer. At the pre-pageant activities, Merel won Darling of the Press award in the Europe category, silver medal in the Water category at the Beach Wear competition.
