Yuumi Kato (Age: 22 Years, Height: 168 cm) was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2018 during the grand finale of the event which was held on 19th March 2018 in Tokyo, at Hotel Chinzanso. She was crowned by Miss Universe Japan 2017 Momoko Abe.
Yuumi has had a very tough childhood as she was brought up in an underprivileged background. She was sent off to Malaysia to survive on her own. Yuumi wants to help and empower women who are going through a similar situation. She is fluent in Malay, English, Chinese and Japanese languages.
