Charmaine Chew Qi En - Age: 20 Years, Height: 172 cm
Charmaine nurtured the dream of becoming a beauty queen ever since she was a little girl. A straight ‘A’s student, she made the difficult decision of deferring her studies and turned down a scholarship to further her studies in the UK to focus on this competition. Having performed on stage since she was four years old, Charmaine is interested in performing arts and wants to make a name in the entertainment industry. Although she had faced some personal struggles, she believes that it will not stop her from reaching her dreams. Compassionate by nature, she is also an active volunteer who spends her time volunteering at soup kitchens, refugee centres, charity homes, hospitals, as well as helping the homeless. Charmaine hopes to use the Miss Universe Malaysia platform to raise awareness on mental health, which is a cause that is close to her heart.
