Asian beauties have taken over the international beauty pageants, particularly the Big 4 pageants, by storm this year with the crowning of Karen Ibasco of Philippines as Miss Earth 2017 on 4th November followed by the crowning of Kevin Lilliana of Indonesia as Miss International 2017 on 14th November and then the victory of Manushi Chhillar of India in Miss World 2017 on 18th November 2017.
In the history of the international beauty pageants, it has never occurred when the Asian beauties record a complete win in all the Big 4 pageants in the same year. We are not talking about just some pageant, but the renowned pageants that have been here for more than a decade where the girls from all around the world come to participate. And this year, beauties from Asia have won so far three of the Big 4 pageants (which is already a record) and if another beauty from the continent manages to win the Miss Universe 2017 pageant which is just a few days away, it will be the first time in the history of Big 4 pageants, that all the winners come from the same continent and will be a clean sweep for Asia!
This trail of wins started early in November when the lovely 26-year-old Karen Ibasco of Philippines was crowned Miss Earth 2017 where she stunned everyone with her beauty and intelligence. This was followed by Indonesia’s Kevin Lilliana, who won the coveted title of Miss International 2017 on 14th November 2017. Kevin was just flawless in all the rounds of the competition and came across as a breath of fresh air with her poise and loveliness. Then came the day for Miss World 2017 on 18th November, and India's Manushi Chhillar took the Miss World stage by blizzard with her thunderous performance and gloried in her triumph. She became a star overnight with her fan following increasing many folds already.
Their wins have come as a happy surprise for all the Asian pageant lovers who have supported them all through their journey.
