Angelina Klapperich from Wasilla was crowned as Miss Alaska 2017. She will now represent her state at the Miss America competition 2018, in Atlantic City, New Jersy, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcasted by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017, Savvy Shields, will officially crown her successor.
Klapperich is an all rounder girl. She previously won the title of Miss Alaska Outstanding Teen in the year 2010. She was also the contestant at National Sweetheart 2013.

After competing in Miss America’s outstanding teen, she took a break of two years as she was not eligible for competing in Miss America state pageant. She went to participate at the state pageant and finally won it.
Even without pageants, she has lofty goals for the future. “Pageants certainly won’t be my entire life, I’m thinking about going into pediatrics as a profession.” She once said.
That people believe pageant participants are stuck-up or mean “is such a terrible stereotype,” she said. “Honestly, looking back, I can’t think of one pageant girl who fits that. I don’t know where that comes from, because they’re not superficial at all.”
Let’s see if Miss Alaska outstanding queen will be able to win the coveted crown of Miss America 2018 or not.
