Amidst the sense of hopelessness due to the spread of global pandemic, Miss World Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha has started an initiative in an attempt to reconnect the youth to the workings of Nepal. For the next 3 weeks she will be having conversations with different speakers about contemporary Nepali economics, education, governance and more.

The stunning Nepali beauty took to her official social media to talk about her initiative as she said, “In light of all that is going around, I feel a sense of anger and helplessness. And I realized this is not the first time I've felt it. Felt it during the earthquake, and many times ever since, perhaps even before it. As a part of the youth of the country, I know I should do something should be part of the solution, and I want to. But how well do I really know Nepal, Nepal TODAY to begin with - to be part of the solution I surely need to understand the problem better? Reflection result - not well enough. I also found this to be a common sentiment around amongst us.”

She explained further, “So in an attempt to reconnect the youth including myself to the workings of this country we proudly call home, for the next 3 weeks I will be having conversations with different speakers about contemporary Nepali economics, education, governance and more. She will be beginning her series with Sujeev Shakya, one of the most dynamic personalities of Nepal. He is the founder and Chair of the Nepal Economic Forum, this busy author also successfully runs his international management consulting firm Beed Management. This is, indeed, a great initiative by the reigning queen to help educate the youth of her country.
