Would you believe if you were told that one of the most beautiful women in Philippines was insecure o her looks? Yes, you heard that right. Miss Universe Philippines 2018 (Binibining Pilipinas 2018) Catriona Gray was unsure of her looks at the tender age of 12. The beauty queen wasn’t sure of herself and quickly became very awkward. She shared her inspiring story recently.
“When I was 12 years old, I had my growth spurt which was quite early. I was already 5-foot-8. Super un-coordinated. I had bad teenage skin, braces pa. That was the time I felt really unsure of myself. I felt very awkward,” recalled Catriona.
“I always think there are things to improve naman eh and I always love learning about everything and acquiring new knowledge,” she added.
With her pictures spreading with the reigning Miss Universe 2017 Demi Leigh Nel Peters and former winners Iris Mittenaere and Pia Wurtzbach, many have said that Catriona is the next in line for the Miss Universe crown.
“I’m still going to work really hard for it naman. I know the Filipino fans, we deserve to be well represented and I will do my utmost best to make that happen,” said Catriona.
Catriona recently also revealed her plans for the dress that she will wear during the evening gown section at Miss Universe 2018.
As hard as it might be to believe that Catriona went through such an insecurity, fact remains that she did, hence little girls can look up to her and have comfort in the fact that beauty is, as it is said, within, and that even the most beautiful girls in Philippines might have had problems they are facing now.
