The Binibining Pilipinas organization is all set to host the 58th edition of the national pageant later this year as the search for the divas will begin soon. The screening of the applicants will start in the month of March, whereas the Opening salvo of the pageant will be a grand Flores de Mayo parade at Araneta City this May followed by other pre=pageant activities and charity events.

While the nation gears up for another edition of the most anticipated pageant of Philippines, at least four of last year’s Binibinis are being rumored to return for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 to pick up where they left off and hopefully nail a crown this time around. SO, without any further ado let us meet the divas looking at some unfinished pageant business –

Francesca Taruc

Coming all the way from Pampanga, Francesca Taruc is a model and a blogger aside from being a beauty queen. The 21-year-old holds a degree in Communication from the Holy Angel University. The diva is well-deserving, mesmerising, and her performance has been incredible. The diva is stunning, with flawless features and long, gleaming hair. She is a model who is extremely talented. When it comes to the camera and taking great images, she aces every shot.

The diva is no new to pageantry as she represented Philippines at Miss Tourism World Intercontinental in year 2019, where she ultimately was crowned. She will definitely prove to be a strong contender. She is well experienced and well versed with the pageantry world. So it is possible that she can effortlessly take her place in the top of the finale.

Gabrielle Basiano

Hailing from the city of Tacloban, 22 years-old Gabrielle stands 175 cm tall and is a Tourism graduate at the Asian Development Foundation College of Tacloban. Gabrielle is a firm believer that the youth are the asset of our nation and thus, good education and values formation should be given to all.

Gabby is not new to the industry and was also the first runner-up at Binibining Pilipinas 2021. She has been crowned with several state and national titles over the past years. Gabrielle is one of the top Asian models and beauty queen in Philippines who has dominated various beauty pageants. She showcased the Filipino art and culture in her Sarimanok warrior-inspired national costume created by Razen Montero at Miss Friendship International 2019 competition. She has shot for various photographers and walked on stage for many designers.

With all her experience and knowledge about the beauty pageant world, Gabrielle surely will be one of the strongest delegates who will not only leave her impact on the judges and audience but also has a real chance of winning the title this year.

Karen Laurrie Mendoza

25-years-old Karen is a cabin crew member. The diva recently created buzz as she confirmed to comeback for the upcoming edition. The diva was under spotlight with her question-and-answer performance at the 2021 pageant as she made it to the Top 13 semi-finalists.

Mendoza’s advocacy is to educate and make people aware of the various mental health issues in the world and draw their attention to giving importance to them, and this comes from her own experience. Previously, the diva was also a part of Binibining Pilipinas 2020. She was also awarded as Supermodel Philippines in year 2019. She is strong, beautiful, and determined to make a significant change in society with the platform and has had emerged as one of the favorites for the crown.

Graciella Lehmann

The stunning Filipina-Swiss-German diva, Graciella Lehmann hails from Pinamalayan. Graciella epitomises Filipina beauty, with her mesmerising eyes and charming smile. She has a tall and slim frame that meets all of the requirements for the title. She previously worked as a flight attendant with Cebu Pacific.

Lehmann is a breast cancer advocate and is associated with Kasuso, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving indigent patients through early detection, treatment and breast care support. Not new to pageantry this 24 year-old was a Top 12 finalist at the last year’s edition.

She is experienced, confident and determined towards representing the country and can definitely be a strong contender for the title this year.
