Eliza Kanner won the coveted title of Miss Connecticut 2017. She will now represent her state at the Miss America 2018 to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcast by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 from Arkansas, Savvy Shields will officially crown her successor.
On her win, Kanner said, “Still on cloud nine after winning the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness award and the preliminary Talent awards last night! It was a result of planning, prioritizing, and producing. Nothing made me happier”.
She further added, “Thank you Robbie from Triple Threat Dance Co. Complex for bringing my talent to a whole new level this year”
She started participating in pageantry when she was four years old through the Miss Connecticut organization and was mentored by many of the Forever Miss Connecticut’s.
Alyssa Taglia, Miss Connecticut 2016 passed the crown to her successor Eliza Kanner and signed off for the last time.
On Alyssa’s signing off, Eliza said, “The epitome of beautiful inside and out. I have always thought the world of you, and the next young woman who is crowned Miss Connecticut has incredibly big shoes to fill. You will be successful wherever life takes you next, and know I will always be there to cheer you on along the way”.
