Emma Mary Tiglao bids farewell to pageantry

16 Feb 2022 | Camilla Suarez

While the industry anticipated for her comeback, Emma Mary Tiglao had some other plans in store as the diva recently revealed her retirement from pageantry. To embrace a new journey, the diva has ended hers in pageantry.

She took to her social media to announce her farewell as she wrote, “We are always assured that endings always bring in new beginnings. Doors close and new better doors will open. Goodbyes are HARD when you really wanted things to work out, but life just happens. I always cherish the memories though. Thank you so much for your support and love.”

She is a 27 year-old Filipino actress, news anchor, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2019. Emma represented the Philippines at the Miss Intercontinental 2019 pageant and finished as a Top 20 semifinalist.

She started her journey in pageantry when she was 14 years of age and had her first beauty pageant in her hometown Pampanga. She has earlier also been a semifinalist at Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and Miss World Philippines 2015 4th Princess.

During her journey so far, she understood that the glimmer in the crown she was wearing was just temporary. Finding a calling in this world and acting on it, she feels, is far more essential than the purpose for which it is given. To make a small but significant influence in the lives of others. She also believes that, in the end, true fulfilment comes from uncovering the best in each of us, rather than from winning.

This diva believes in spreading positivity and will continue to inspire the world, with bigger things waiting for the queen to forfeit. The industry is pouring in love, support and respect to the queen for this brave decision.

Here’s wishing Emma all the best wishes for her future endeavours.
