Miss Intercontinental 2019 is all set to host its 48th edition of Miss Intercontinental as the coronation night will be held on 20th December 2019 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman of Philippines will crown her successor by the end of the event.
The introduction video of Emma Mary Tiglao Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019 was released on the pageant's YouTube account on Tuesday, 12th November, where the diva talked about her pageant journey that began when she joined local competitions in her home province, Pampanga, until she won the Binibining Pilipinas Interncontinental title early this year.
The diva started with her introduction as she talked about her journey of pageantry which was started at the tender age of 14 in her hometown Pampanga. The diva shared her experiences and expressed her gratitude for the title she is now carrying, that is of Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019. She further talked about the crown which she has been embracing and said, "Through it all, I realized that the sparkle of the crown is momentary. It's the purpose by which it was given that is far more important. To find a higher calling in this world, and act on it. To make a difference in the lives of others, no matter how small. In the end the true measure of fulfillment is not always in winning, but discovering the best in all of us”. The diva further talked about her life changing moment which was, when she saw the little children in the poor communities, abandoned by their parents because of poverty. The beauty then decided to help these children. Emma is best known for her benevolent nature. She lends her support to children in Nazareth, Pampanga who were suffering from mental disorder. She also visits orphanages for abandoned children in her province and lays support to them. Besides her love for the kids, she has a keen interest in travel which she says, that had helped her in discovering and appreciating the diverse cultures around the world and also gave her the opportunity to expand her horizons. Emma said that pageantry has given her a deeper sense of purpose in life as she competes in the Miss Intercontinental pageant in December. The diva ended with the insightful words of Egypt’s very own diplomat, and former secretary-general of the united nations, Boutros Boutros Gali, who said that “Diversity is a vitally important hallmark of Democracy”.
Emma as her love for travel, completed her education in Tourism at Holy Angel University. This Filipina is a veteran when it comes to the pageant world. In 2012, she participated in the provincial pageant of Mutya ng Pilipinas and bagged the title of the first runner-up. Later in 2014, Emma first competed in the national pageant of Binibining Pilipinas. The gleaming young beauty successfully locked her place in the Top 15. She was also a crossover beauty in Miss World Philippines 2015 where she became the fourth princess.
After her pageantry experiences, she accepted modelling assignments and started working in Malaysia and Cambodia. The talented diva also got a chance to be a part of a panel of judges in the Miss Universe Cambodia 2016. While working abroad she learnt a lot and grew as a person. Later on, she decided to pursue her dream of being a Binibining Pilipinas titleholder, hence she enrolled herself in at the Dale Carnegie to improve her communication skill. After rigorous training, mentoring and practising Emma became completely ready to participate in Binibining Pilipinas 2019.
