Beauty Talks with Miss Grand Netherlands 2018 Finalist Rosella Chialastri

Miss Grand Netherlands 2018 took a rocking start with twelve finalists. However, due to an unfortunate turn of events, one of the finalists, Deborah Van Hemert, had to back off. Now, only 11 finalists remain as the coronation night nears us.

The 11 finalists are enjoying every bit of the pageant and are working hard to get closer to the crown. The reigning queen Miss Grand Netherlands 2017, Kelly Van Den Dungen is also spending time with the delegates, giving them tips and sharing her own experience with the girls. The candidates of Miss Grand Netherlands 2018 also had a chance to enjoy an official photo shoot with the reigning queen.

But, it’s time we get to know each and every one of them personally. So here is Miss Grand Netherlands 2018 finalist Rosella Chialastri’s future plans, and past struggles.

Q. How does it feel to be a delegate of Miss Grand Netherlands 2018?

I feel utterly proud of myself to be one of the beautiful 11 finalists that have been chosen for Miss Grand Netherlands2018, and possibly the one lucky enough to represent our beautiful country on the international stage of Miss Grand International 2018.

Q. What is the best lesson you’ve learnt that has shaped your life?

To think and stay positive at all times and circumstances.

Our attitude and thinking towards life will determine life's attitude toward us.

My favorite quote is:  A negative mind will never give you a positive life

Q. What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world” this quote inspires me to be the best version of myself.

Because the world won’t change, if you don’t change, we always have to start with looking at ourselves.

Q. Other than the Miss Grand Netherlands crown, what do you want to achieve from this competition?

What I would like to achieve from this competition is knowledge and inspiration on how to stop the pain in this world.

Next to making friends with the other awesome delegates, it is nice to see their ideas and knowledge about our world problems.

Q. We’re sure that this competition is just another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you consider your life goal?

My life goal is to be happy and positive, when I achieve this I can fulfill any dream I have, of which one of them is to travel the world and get to know other cultures.

Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the national stage at Miss Grand Netherlands 2018?

I would represent myself just the way that I am, I have come this far into getting in the competition just by being myself; if I would get the honor to win the title of Miss Grand Netherlands it would be because I kept real to myself.

Q. Who is your ideal, and what values of theirs do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?

I feel really connected to the values of Morgan Freeman, these are some of his values which I totally agree with and are exactly like I would want to think in my life.

“We humans are more concerned with having than with being.

Owning things never brings happiness. Find joy in being. Look around and appreciate the little things – the morning sky, wind blowing on your face, the sound of birds chirping.”

“How do we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.

Small goals hold much more power than you think they do. If you want to change the world, do a small gesture today. Real power lies in the present.”

“challenge yourself it's the only path which leads to growth”

Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?

I would go to Amsterdam Airport and step into a plane that travels to one of the countries I’d like to visit (which are a lot, so I would probably go for a warm climate since it is mostly 9/12 months cold in The Netherlands)

Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?

My most special childhood memory would the day I got my first puppy.

I was asking my parents every day to get a puppy and (eventually) they gave in, we called him Bruno and I have had him for 10 years, unfortunally he died of cancer when I was 18.

Q. What is your advocacy, can you tell us more about it?

My advocacy is to spread awareness on violence against women all around the world, who are victims of war.

Violence against women, especially rape, has added its own brand of shame to wars.

When in war It has been said that most civilians tend to die from war rather than in battle. And women have ended up on the front-line, not as soldiers but as victims.

Victims of people who think they have the right to put their hands on someone else’s body.

People who have been guilty of rape in war and yet do not get prosecuted for their deeds.

To overcome the physical and psychological trauma of rape and other forms of sexual violence  should not be underestimated, women can and mostly will suffer from depression, anxiety disorders, flashbacks, difficulties in re-establishing intimate relationships, and fear.

I want to be the voice to support these women and stand up against violence against women in war.

At this moment I am collaborating with the charity of “Doctors without borders”, I have started a crowd funding action on Facebook where people can donate a small amount of money to support this charity.

Doctors Without Border helps people worldwide where the need is the greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from health care.

To change “what is” into “what should be”.

Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?

FOOD!!! Noodles, pizza, sushi…. I can continue for a while

Q. If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?

My first wish would be: No more suffering in this world for all living being. No war, no hunger, no pain, but instead equality and understanding.

My second wish is: Since I was a little kid I have always dreamed of talking to animals, so this would be my second wish.

My third wish would be and yes I am serious about this one haha: To make the whole Harry Potter world real, a real Hogwarts for wizards and witches and the ability to practice magic.

Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans at Angelopedia?

I feel so beloved because of the support that I get from the people that support me in the pageant of becoming Miss Grand Netherlands 2018.

I hope I will make the people who are rooting for me proud if I would be the one to get the honor to win the title, and if this would happen I hope my fans would support me to the international stage of Miss Grand International as it would be the most amazing experience of my life.
