At the coronation night of Miss India 2019 held on 15th June 2019 at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai, Suman Rao was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of India in Miss World 2019. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss India 2018 Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu.
Suman bested twenty nine other contestants to win the national crown and amazed everyone with her exceedingly well performance throughout the competition. She will definitely be a strong competition to the other ladies at Miss World 2019. The newly crowned queen’s court included-

Miss United Continents India 2019 - Shreya Shanker representing Bihar
Second Runner-Up – Sanjana Vij representing Telangana
At the coronation night, from thirty contestants who began at the competition, only fifteen remained who moved forward - Jyotishmita Baruah (Assam), Shreya Shanker (Bihar), Shivani Yadhav (Chhattisgarh), Manasi Taxak (Gujarat), Garima Yadav (Madhya Pradesh), Vasihnavi Andhale (Maharashtra), Lalnunthari Rualhleng (Mizoram), Harnaz Kaur (Punjab), Suman Rao (Rajasthan), Sanjana Vij (Telangana), Siddhi Gupta (Uttarakhand), Shinata Chauhan (Uttar Pradesh) Manasi Senghal (Delhi), Sonal Sharma (Haryana) and Megha Kaul (Jammu and Kashmir).
The top 12 were then cut down to six and the delegates who made it were Suman Rao, Sanjana Vij, Shinata Chauhan, Shivani Jadhav, Jyotishmita Baruah and Shreya Shanker. The coveted Beauty with a Purpose award was won by Lakshmi Menon of Kerela.
The jury panel comprised of Vanessa Ponce Miss World 2018, Fashion designer Shane Peacock and Falguni Peacock, Sprinter Dutee Chand, Actor Aayush Sharma, Indian Footballer Sunil Chhetri, Actress Chitrangada Singh, Actress Huma Qureshi, Choreographer and director Remo D'Souza.
