Femina Miss India 2020 revamps with new and improvised digital format

The organization of Femina Miss India recently announced that the beauty pageant that has given a platform to the talented and young Indian delegates in approaching the new normal with a fresh, dynamic, and new format. The organization revealed that the beauty pageant that sends a representative of India at Miss World is going digital or virtual due to the on-going scare of the covid19 in the country.

The organization took to its official social media account to give a little sneak peak to the fans and the followers about the new approach of the organization where they mentioned, ‘Adversity sparks innovation. Innovation is the lifeblood of change; a big change is afoot at India’s most credible beauty pageant.’ It is also being reported that not only the format of the pageant is changing but also the organization has decided to reduce the height criteria of the divas applying for the beauty pageant. It has been reduced down to 5’3’’ or 160 cm without heels for the competition as they feel that height shouldn’t be a barrier in the way of someone’s dreams. This step has been appreciated by a lot of people and they have mentioned that they are grateful that organization has decided to reduce the height criteria which has always been a barrier for some extremely talented and potential candidates.

The new and digital format of Femina Miss India will kick off with the entries from 5th October 2020 and then the search for a potential candidate to represent India at Miss World 2020, Miss Grand International 2020, and Miss United Continents 2020 will start. More details about the new and improvised format of Femina Miss India 2020 will be revealed shortly by the organization.

Last year, Suman Ratan Rao was crowned as Miss India 2020 after which she represented India at Miss World 2019 and was adjudged as the second runner-up at the end of the event finale. Where as Shivani Jadhav represented India at Miss Grand International 2019 and Shreya Shanker at Miss United Continents 2019.
