The grand coronation of Femina Miss India 2020 was held on 10th February 2021 at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Mumbai, India where Manasa Varanasi from Telangana was crowned Femina Miss India 2020 by the outgoing Miss World India 2019 Suman Ratan Rao.

Hailing Manasa Varanasi is 23-years-old and standa 176 cm tall and works as finance exchange analyst and professional model. She completed her graduation from Vasavi College of Engineering. While studying at Vasavi College, she won her first beauty queen title when she was crowned as Ms. Fresher. She describes herself as free-spirited, curious, ambivert woman with a zest for life. She will be representing India at Miss World 2020 and is very grateful for the opportunity.

The diva who was inspired by Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra aspires to be like her some day and adapt the qualities of her like exploring new opportunities, pushing her boundaries that gave her space in various aspects of life; music, movies, entrepreneurship, social work, and the list goes on. She explained, “As a shy kid who tried to make herself heard, I always looked up to Priyanka for the outspoken badass that she was. It's her versatility and strength that I draw inspiration from.”

Manasa was a shy kid and used Bharatanatyam and Sangeetam to express herself to the world and believes that these art forms, coupled with her volunteering experiences have taught her the most important lessons on curiosity and courage. She explained, “In order to achieve anything, you need to have the courage to ask for it- and by being here.”  She's embracing her courage to take this chance and make something extraordinary of it.

The finance exchange analyst’s interest lies in reading books, dance, yoga, and nature. After winning the crown, she said, “In a way, I expected to win and to lose. Winning is out of one’s hands destiny, luck, the competition they all have a say. The nerve-wrecking thing about a contest such as this is that everything can change in an instant. So, while I am very proud of my achievement, I am also humbled and grateful that the stars aligned for me.”

Manasa believes that her win has enhanced her belief that something great is in the store for her and mentioned that it is important to surrender to the energy of the moment and hard work, kind heart, and true intentions do not go unrewarded. She added, “It means that I must now work doubly hard to make this opportunity meaningful to me, and to those I will have the opportunity to help.”

The diva is very close to the culture and tradition of her city as she strongly believes that it has helped her in shaping her as a human. She stated that she has grown with the city and to live in it is to carry a sense of balance, respect, and culture. “Hyderabad is in my mind, my heart, the poetry that I write, and I dare say, in my belly — I mean, how can you talk about Hyderabad and not think about the incredible food you get here?” she added.

Talking about her preparation, the diva mentioned that every contest requires hard work, focus, and commitment and she is grateful that she has had such wonderful team who has supported her to stay focused and determined towards her win. She is now preparing for Miss World 2020 and is hopeful to make the people of India proud just like her idol Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra.

Congratulations queen!
