It was not a great show for India at the finals of Miss Universe and Miss World in 2016, but things seem bright for 2017. With Femina making major changes in the format of the Miss India 2017, we can surely see some gorgeous ladies walking all the way to “The Crown”.
The change in the format will see finalists divided into four zones, namely, North, South, East and West. Every zone will get a prominent mentor, who will train the finalists right from the state level selection. This will increase the efficiency level of the finalists and will also filter the most deserving candidates.
Now talking of the finalists from the eastern zone, we see an excellent blend of beauty and culture. East and North-East states always boast about the beauty, heritage and culture. Recently, we got to witness a photo shoot of the finalists from the eastern zone.
Talking about their look, we saw finalists dressed in unique evening and party wears. All the 25 finalists looked confident in whatever they sported. Predominantly black was the colour of the day. All the participants got their makeup done by renowned artist Don Hsiao. The makeup was subtle yet so perfect. A thin liner, lipstick and open hair was the look of the shoot.
The shoot was covered by ace photographer Kaustav Saikia who chose indoor location to bring out the charm of the beautiful ladies. The photos had the ladies posing in what looked like the lobby of some 5 star hotels. Stern faces made the finalists look smart and confident.
This is just one of the stairs in the race to the finale. The change in the format has given the participants a lot more room to experiment with look and style. The continuous trainings and fitness sessions are on to polish them more and more. By the time the finalists compete for the actual Pageant, they would already be superstars.
