This year’s Miss Universe pageant was unique in many ways – after 64 years France won the coveted crown of Miss Universe, the candidates witnessed the new format under IMG, and Sierra Leone competed for the first time at Miss Universe.
Hawa Kamara of Sierra Leone made history by being the first woman Sierra Leonean to enter the Miss Universe pageant. The 26 year old beauty couldn’t make a placement at the 65th edition of Miss Universe, but she definitely won a million hearts with her amicable nature and friendly attitude. And now, Hawa will be representing the fine diamonds procurers, Moijey Fine Jewelry and Diamonds as their first brand ambassador.

Hawa’s responsibility will be to represent the luxury diamond brand to maintain the company’s stellar image, generate sales and placement opportunities and expand their customer base. This is going to be a great opportunity for the beauty as she is already travelling internationally fulfilling her current duties as the reigning Miss Sierra Leone.
Kamara graduated from the Methodist Girls High School in Freetown. She loves to travel and explore. She spends her weekends volunteering for educational causes. The stunner wants to encourage and empower young girls through telling them the importance of education and inspiring them to enroll. She would also love to advocate about HIV and raise awareness on AIDS.
