Maddie Rose Holler was crowned as Miss Arizona last night, Saturday at the Mesa Arts Center. The 19-year-old beauty queen is a Broadcast Journalism major at Arizona State University.

She will now represent her state at the Miss America competition 2018 to be held in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on September10, 2017. The event will be broadcast by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC). Miss America 2017 from Arkansas, Savvy Shields will officially crown her successor.
 
Holler's advocacy is to support the nation's military and their families. The Pinay beauty queen also won the swimsuit preliminary award leading up to the coronation night.Holler was named as Miss Arizona’s Outstanding Teen in 2013 making her the third Miss Arizona to ever win both a teen and miss title.
 
She also won Miss North Phoenix 2016 previously and she can become the first Filipina-American to win Miss America since Miss Hawaii, Angela Perez Baraquio won in 2001. 
 
Chelsea Myers is the reigning Miss Arizona USA 2016. She passed the crown and to her successor Maddie Rose and signed off for the last time. 
 
Miss Arizona is a non-profit foundation and part of the largest scholarship network for the 2017 Miss Arizona Scholarship Pageant's People's Choice Vote. Arizona has twice won the Miss America title. The first Miss Arizona, Anna Marie Barnett, was crowned in 1938. In 2016, the 78th Miss Arizona was crowned.
