Megan Rae Wise has been crowned Miss Ohio USA 2016 at the end of the coronation held at Kuss Auditorium on November 7, 2015. She will now represent Ohoi at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant, where reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma will crown her successor passing on her reign.
At the same event, Taylor Diazmercado was adjudged the first runner-up, Courtney Rea was titled second runner-up, Caity Jackson clinched the title of third runner-up, while Dinaleigh Baxter finished as the fourth runner-up.

Megan works as a First Grade Teacher at Meigs Primary Elementary, in Pomeroy after graduating from The University of Rio Grande University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She was a finalist for America’s Next Top Model in 2012.
Wise succeeds Miss Ohio USA 2015 Sarah Newkirk. Sarah represented Ohio at the Miss USA 2015 in Baton Rouge on July 12, where she competed to succeed Miss USA 2014, Nia Sanchez. However, Sarah remained unplaced.
Ohio is one of the only twelve states to win the Miss USA crown twice (Sue Downey in 1965 and Kim Seelbrede in 1981). They achieved success in the first decades of the Miss USA competition, but hasn’t done that well in recent years.
There are many prominent Miss Ohio USA’s, for instance; famous actress and Oscar winner Halle Berry was the first runner up to Miss USA in 1986. She competed at Miss World 1986 and became the fifth runner-up.
