Peyton Brown was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2016 on Saturday night, November 7, 2015 during the annual competition at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre, US. Gadsden representative, Erin Snow, has been titled Miss Alabama Teen USA 2016.
Brown will have the opportunity to compete at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant, where she hopes to get crowned by the reigning Miss USA, Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. The winner of Miss USA 2016 will go on to represent the United States in the Miss Universe competition.

Brown, who hails from Eufaula, was one of the 43 women from around the state competing for the coveted title of Miss Alabama USA. The top five finalists were Barron Rae Williams of Lake Martin; Alyssa Knight of Capstone; Hannah Godwin of Oak Mountain and Synetta Hawkins of Homewood.
Snow was among 57 young women hoping to take home the crown. The top five finalists in the teen competition were Malaina Daugherty, of Arab; Claire Scott, of Over the Mountain; Bayley Albinger, of Greater Mobile and Brennen Cooke, of North Shelby County.
Contestants were judged on the basis of character, poise, confidence and personality in three categories: Evening Gown, Swimsuit and Interview. In addition to the title, the contestants were awarded with scholarships, leadership opportunities and other prizes.
