Mexicana Universal 2022, the 4th edition of the national pageant of Mexican Universal was held on 21st May 2022 at San Luis Potosí Convention Center, where stunning delegates from all over the country competed for the national titles at stake. At the end of the event, Irma Miranda of Sonora was crowned Mexicana Universal 2022. Apart from the title, Diana Robles of Guanajuato was crowned Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2022.

Other winners included Itzia Garcia who was crowned Mexicana International 2023 and Verónica Gamboa of Nayarit who was crowned Mexicana Latinoamericana 2023 as these queens will now represent Mexico at the upcoming editions of the respective international pageants.

The win was iconic for Guanajuato as finally after more than a decade the state has stood up as a titleholder and will be represented internationally. “It was a pleasant surprise to see so much support, that without knowing me in person they bet on me representing Mexico! And for me that is an honor,” the diva shared.

Originally from the city of Leon, Diana is a 25-year-old student of Physiotherapy and working as a professional model. She is a strong delegate as Guanajuato is a land of beautiful and prepared women. She strongly believes that, “The magic begins when you start to believe in yourself.”

Diana was crowned by the reigning Reina Hisapanoamericana 2021 Andrea Bazarte, who she also succeeds for the national title, and will be representing Mexico at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2022 pageant with a chance to create a hat-trick win for the country.
