The organization of Mexicana Universal hosted the coronation ceremony on 29th November 2020 at Hotel Misión Grand Juriquilla Santiago de Querétaro where Andrea Meza who represented the state of Chihuahua was crowned as the new Mexicana Universal 2020 and earn a chance to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020.
Ángeles Castro who represented Oaxaca at the competition was crowned Mexicana Latinoamericana 2020 and will be representing Mexico at the first edition of Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal 2020 stage. Ángeles originally hails from Oaxaca and is 21-years-old and stands 173cm tall. She is a student of law and works as a professional model.
Along with Mexicana Oaxaca 2019 Ángeles Castro being crowned Mexicana Latinoamericana 2020, Mexicana Nuevo Leon 2019 Andrea Bazarte was crowned Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2020, and Mexicana San Luis Potosi 2019 Karen Bustos was crowned Mexicana Universal Charm 2020.
Ángeles is not new to the pageantry world as she participated in Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2017 but unfortunately didn’t make it to the top of the competition. The diva worked hard and participated for Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2019 and was crowned as the new queen. She succeeded Mexicana Universal Oaxaca 2018 Cintya Bamaca.
Ángeles is very close to her culture and traditions and wants to use the platform of Mexicana Universal 2020 to showcase the same to everyone. She is very proud to be a part of culture that speaks courage, friendships, and dreams. Ángeles has worked very hard and is constantly working hard to win the title. She practices regular exercise, makeup, hairstyling, catwalk, altruistic work, and interviews that would help her with overall development and confidence for the competition.
The diva believes that beauty pageants are a platform to enhance, prepare, develop, and empower women. Its main objective is to empower and promote women in a comprehensive manner. She is strong, focused, determined, and confident that she will make the people of Mexico proud while being the first representative of the country at Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal 2020.
