Andrea Meza – From Miss World to Miss Universe?

12 Feb 2020 | Priya Bhardwaj

Andrea Meza, the official representative of Chihuahua at Mexicana Universal 2020, is all set to begin her journey in yet another national pageant which sends the winner to represent Mexico in Miss Universe 2020. After her successful stint in Miss World 2017, her shift to the pageant that sends the winner of Miss Universe is strikingly similar to the journey of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

Andrea is 25 years of age and stands a whopping 182 cm tall. She has studied Software Engineering at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. Andrea represented Mexico at Miss World 2017 where she lost the title to Manushi Chhillar as she was adjudged the first runner-up position. With such an accomplished career in pageantry, Andrea began in 2016 when she was crowned Miss Chihuahua 2016 and went on to be crowned Miss World Mexico 2017.

Catriona Gray went on a similar journey as she participated in Miss World 2016 but did not win the crown. She then went on to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2018 where she emerged victorious. The Filipina beauty, henceforth, became an inspiration for all the ladies to never give up on their dreams.

Not losing hope, courage and determination are definitely the keys to success and Andrea surely understands that. Andrea’s list of accomplishments did not end at winning the first runner-up position at Miss World 2017 as she was also awarded Miss World Americas and also placed 4th runner-up in Talent competition, Top 9 in Miss Multimedia, Top 20 in Sports Competition and Top 30 in Top Model Competition.

The stunning Mexican beauty will surely be a strong contender for the national crown and if she wins the crown, she will definitely represent Mexico with same sincerity and dedication at Miss Universe 2020.
