The coronation ceremony of Mexicana Universal Colorado USA 2021 was held on 3rd April 2021 at D'Cartier event center where Layla Herrera was crowned as the new queen and became the official representative of Colorado at Mexicana Universal USA 2021. Layla was crowned by Mexicana Universal 2020 Andrea Meza who is preparing herself to represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2020 scheduled to take place on 16th May 2021 in the United States.

Layla is 22-years-old and stands 175 cm tall. She has a licensee in international business and economic science and is currently studying for her master’s degree in education. After the crowning, she took to her social media to share the happiness as she mentioned, “I am Mexican Universal Colorado 2021! I still can't believe it! Since I was little, I always dreamed of being a queen and last night my dream came true. I am very proud to be able to represent the Mexican community in Colorado and I am ready for this new stage in my life! Follow me on this adventure in Mexicana Universal Colorado USA 2021.”

The diva also mentioned a special thank you to National Director Lupita Jones, the team of Mexicana Universal USA for the opportunity and Miss Universe Mexico 2020 Andrea Meza for crowning her. She will now represent the state of Colorado at Mexicana Universal USA 2021 and if she wins, she will get a chance to compete at Mexicana Universal 2020 representing Mexican women in the United States. She is extremely thankful for the opportunity that has helped her to be confident and assured about herself.

The beauty queen is very thankful to her family and friends who stuck by her side and motivated and supported her throughout the competition. She is confident, strong, and determined to perform her best at the competition for which she has started to prepare already. She is looking forward to meeting the delegates with whom she will be competing for the national title and learning new things along the way. Layla is determined to make her dreams come true and represent her best self at the competition and earn the chance to represent Mexico at international competition.
