Miss Arkansas USA 2020 held its coronation night yesterday, i.e. 17th November 2019 where Haley Rose Pontius was crowned the new queen as she became the official representative of Arkansas in Miss USA 2020. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Arkansas USA 2019 Savannah Skidmore.
For Haley, third time is a charm turned true as she won the state pageant in her third try. Before this, Haley first participated in 2016 where she was adjudged the first runner-up. She took her second try in 2017 where she placed as the first runner-up at Miss Arkansas USA 2017 again. In 2013, way before this, Haley also placed in the Top 15 in Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2013. With all her history in the pageantry, Haley was bound to win the crown this year.
At this year’s finale, Haley performed with excellence and grace. She also won the interview and swimsuit awards at the state finale. Also present at the coronation night was Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen 2019 Sarah Cate Lay.
Along with Haley, Anna Claire Hay was crowned Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2020 as she became the official representative of Arkansas in Miss Teen USA 2020. Anna succeeds and was crowned by Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2020 Maggie Williams.
Miss USA 2020 will be the 69th edition of the national contest which will host its coronation night in the spring of 2020. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina will crown her successor at the end of the event finale where the winner will represent USA in Miss Universe 2020.
