20 Dec 2019 | Priya Bhardwaj

Miss California USA 2020 will host its coronation night on 26th January 2020 where stunning beauties will compete for the state crown and then the winner will go on to represent her state of California at Miss USA 2020.

One of the contestants this year is Filipino-American Kataluna Patricia Enriquez, a transwoman vying for the crown to make history. A model by profession and a native of California, Kataluna has come under everyone’s speculation as one of the strongest contenders for the state crown.

The stunning beauty also has her own label called Kataluna Kouture which specialises in Gowns and Costume. Kataluna also made the stunning evening gown of Raquel Basco Miss International Oceania 2019 for her finale. This shows that Kataluna is not just beautiful but also very talented in her field.

She also has quite a lot of experience in the pageantry as she holds the titles of Queen California, Queen USA 2016, MIQ USA Top 12 and Super Sireyna WW USA. With her experience and her beauty, Kataluna might as well win the crown this January. She shared her participation information in a post captioned, “I’d like to officially announce that this upcoming January 2020, I will be competing in Miss CA USA in San Gabriel. This is a moment that I have been preparing myself for, and I’d like to share this moment with all of you. This would be an event that would highlight my personal goals and journey but would also bring light to my community. I’d like to say thank you to everyone who has been helping me, sponsors, mentors and my family.”

If Kataluna wins Miss California USA 2020 in January 2020, she will become the first transgender woman to participate in Miss USA 2020. We’d like to wish her best of luck for her upcoming pageant.
