Indira Pérez Meneses was crowned Miss Earth Mexico 2022 on 12th October 2021 by her predecessor Miss Earth Mexico 2021 Natalia Duran of Tamaulipas. She is all set to represent Mexico at the upcoming edition of Miss Earth.

Originally from Las Choapas, Veracruz, Indira is 23 years of age. She is a Political Science major who is currently working on her project Comunica Verde which is talked about at the national pageant as well. The project focuses on conservation of species and trees as well as rational use of water.

“In Veracruz there is a lot of talent and intelligent women who stop at nothing. Being Miss Earth Mexico gives me a great commitment to the state and to my municipality. A time of great effort and discipline is coming for the international”, she said.

Indira also respects her childhood with her rancher parents where she was raised in an environment where she was able to value the importance of caring for the planet. Through her project, the Mexican beauty initially worked in rural and urban schools in the south of the state. However, the pandemic forced her to use digital platforms so as not to stop raising awareness.

Indira is currently training in areas such as public speaking, languages ??and catwalk, without neglecting emotional intelligence to prepare for her stint at Miss Earth 2022. Indira is also a staunch supporter of women and their growth, regardless of the space where they are, in housework, in a classroom or a laboratory.

“Wherever it is, we must go ahead, prepare ourselves,” she says. Indira Pérez Meneses also joined the promotion of the special edition of the picaresque and humorous Calaveras which have become a classic of the Provincial Spokesperson.

She believes that beauty pageants of this century break stereotypes and are consolidated as spaces for the empowerment of women and the development of proposals with a social or ecological impact. If Indira wins at the upcoming edition of Miss Earth, she will pioneer her country’s win at the pageant.
