Katherine Espin brought glory home to Ecuador when she won the coveted title of Miss Earth 2016 and since then she has added many more accolades to her name. Just recently, the gorgeous queen has been announced as the new National Director of Miss Earth Ecuador pageant franchise.
Katherine has replaced the former National Director of Miss Earth Ecuador, José Hidalgo León. This comes as a pleasant surprise to all her ardent followers as this 25-year-old beauty queen has achieved such an honour so soon.

She was ecstatic about her new success and shared her happiness on her official social page. Here’s the rough translation of her message –
“Wow! The time of God is perfect and for that reason, I feel so grateful for this new challenge that has been granted to me by the International Organization Miss Earth in which I will have the responsibility of choosing the next worthy representative of my country for the International contest. Miss Earth 2018. This gift that I receive today is thanks to the work done during a year as Miss Earth 2016. The organization has honoured me because they trust in my potential and in the good that I will contribute to the main cause of this contest, which is the environment. I am very passionate about this new project for which I will give all my time and dedication. There is no better reward than doing well and receiving blessings from heaven. Many thanks, to each of you, for supporting my cause, and my work. Many surprises are coming which I will update you little by little.

Ecuador’s journey in Miss Earth pageant has been excellent to date. Olga Álava and Katherine Espin, both from Ecuador won Miss Earth title in 2011 and 2016 respectively.
Now Katherine is given a big responsibility of choosing the right candidate to represent Ecuador in a coveted international pageant like Miss Earth and we hope and pray she will be able to do her duties well and guide the young candidates towards another victory for Ecuador.
