Miss Earth Puerto Rico organization is all set to host the 2022 edition of the national pageant on 30th January 2022, as delegates from all over the country will compete for the national crown and to win an opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at Miss Earth 2022.
The pageant, this year, will take on the theme ‘Colors of the Earth’. The organization also hosted the orientation for the new delegates in July where the reigning queen Cristina Mariel Ríos welcomed the new candidates.
While this year’s batch consists of stunning delegates from all over the country, some have stood out as strong and potential contenders for the title. So, without any further ado, here are our Top 7 favourites for the crown of Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022 –
Miss Earth Aguadilla 2022 Joceleen Velazquez
23 years-old Joceleen is a psychology student and a model by profession. She works for her environmental project which revolves around cultivating consciousness. She comes from a family that instilled in her values, love, respect and environmental responsibility since a young age. ‘Cultivating Consciousness’ is an environmental project which is aimed at children and youth of the education system in Puerto Rico. Its purpose is to create environmental awareness by educating on the importance of cultivating, loving and respecting the land.
Miss Earth Carolina 2022 Paulina Aviles Feshold
Architecture-Environmental Design student, Paulina is representing Carolina at Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022. The diva has modeling experience and is definitely a strong and confident contender for the title this year. She is extremely grateful for all the opportunities and experiences she has had so far in the journey and is looking forward to what comes next.
Miss Earth Mayaguez 2022 Anivett Paris
Model and entrepreneur Anivett Paris will be representing Mayaguez at Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022. The diva believes in the saying, “Believe in yourself and everything will be possible.” She runs a high and delicate jewelry brand under her name and ships them all over Puerto Rico and USA. She is confident, determined and has a charming aura.
Miss Earth Ponce 2022 Blanche Marie Torres
Ponce’s Blanche Marie Torres is a speech therapist by profession and believes in changing the world one word at a time. The diva has created an initiative called, ‘Manitas a la Obra’, which works for educating the new generation as she believes that the future is in their hands.
Miss Earth Rio Grande 2022 Ashley Rivera Persad
A model and personal trainer by profession, Ashley is an experienced beauty queen and is coming up as a front runner for the national crown. The diva also previously represented Bayamón at Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2018. She also created a space to share information on environmental care and how one can contribute their grain of sand to preserve the mother earth.
Miss Earth San Juan 2022 Dilvania Polo
Latina beauty Dilvania Polo is a model and businesswoman. She is a Psychology and Communication student and is currently living in New York. The diva created the Be Blue Green initiative, based on expressing in a creative and educational way the importance of conserving the planet earth.
Miss Earth San Sebastian 2022 Paola González Torres
The stunning diva is a chemistry student and also a Volleyball player. The diva recently turned her dreams into reality as she gave a stellar jury interview and was elated to share her purpose and for it to be heard. San Sebastián’s Paola González Torres is definitely rising as a strong contender for the crown this year as she also has the opportunity to create a back-to-back win for the town as Cristina also represented San Sebastián last year.
This year’s winner will succeed Cristina Mariel Ríos of San Sebastian, who has recently replaced Valerie Vigoreaux Cortés as the new Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2021. Cristina represented Puerto Rico at Miss Earth 2021 but didn’t place in the Top 20. She did win gold medal in the Casual Chic competition.
