Connie Maily Jimenez Romero crowned as Miss Ecuador 2016

Connie Jiménez has been crowned Miss Ecuador 2016 at the end of the splendid finale held on March 12’ 2016 in Machala, El Oro, Ecuador. Now, she will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2016.  She succeeds Francesca Cipriani Miss Ecuador 2015 from Guayas, as Miss Ecuador 2016. 

The 20 years old beauty queen stood out among the 21 candidates, who were prepared for months and toured several provinces.

Connie Jiménez hails  from Los Ríos, Ventanas.  She is the first Miss Ecuador from her province. She is an engineer in Agribusiness Management, graduated from the Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School. Connie expressed her desire to work with women engaged in agriculture to help them improve their production and thus their quality of life.

At the same event, Bianka Fuentes Dieb was adjudged first runner-up; Ivanna Abad placed second runner-up, Carmen Iglesias was adjudged third runner-up, Yoselyn Noroña was titled fourth runner-up; and Maria Isabel Piñeyro finished as fifth runner-up.

Ecuador has participated in Miss Universe since 1955. Connie Jiménez will be the first Miss Universe from her country if she wins.
