Miss USA 2018 will hold its finale on 21st May 2018 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana where Miss USA 2017 Kara McCullough will crown her successor from the 51 contestants who will fight for the national title.
But before that, let’s take a look at the top 10 contenders of the national crown who can, in our opinion, represent the USA at Miss Universe 2018. In a series of features, we will introduce these wonderful women who definitely have what it takes to win Miss USA 2018.
Génesis Dávila from Miami was crowned Miss Florida USA 2018 on 17th December 2018. The 27-year-old beauty stands 178 cm tall.
Génesis is not new to the world of pageantry; she was the first finalist in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2013, she was also the first finalist in Miss Intercontinental 2012, winner of Miss World of Puerto Rico 2014 where she also won the Beach Beauty Award.
Génesis was also crowned Miss Florida USA 2017 but was unfortunately stripped off the title after the directors of the contest alleged that she used personal makeup artists for her preparation in the competition, which was strictly not allowed for any participant.
She was dethroned on 22nd July 2016 because the pageant organizers received multiple complaints from eyewitnesses and other contestants, in addition to it giving Génesis an unfair advantage.
Nonetheless, keeping in mind all the speculations surrounding her, Genesis sure has made pageant history by becoming the first woman to win the same state title two years in a row.
