Miss France 2021 Amandine Petit to represent France at Miss Universe 2020

16 Mar 2021 | Angelique Reyes

Miss France organization announced a few hours ago that Miss France 2021 Amandine Petit will represent the country at the 69th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2020 scheduled to take place on 16th May 2021 in Hollywood, Florida, United States. Whereas Miss France 2020 Cle´mence Botino will represent France at the 70th edition of Miss Universe i.e., Miss Universe 2021 that will take place somewhere later this year.

The announcement was made via Miss France’s official social media page and after the announcement was made, Amandine took to her social media to share her happiness and gratitude as she mentioned, “I watched it, I dreamed about it, and in May I will be there. Thank you again for supporting me on 19th December 2020. It is again with you that I will take off on a new adventure. I will of course share with you all my preparation and my participation on my account as well as on Miss France’s page. Cle´mence Botino I particularly want to say these few words to you. You who accompanied me during the preparation for Miss France, you who reassured me and explained. Together we have chosen what will be the best for us. I will not forget our discussion. I'll be there for you in December! You can always count on me.”

Cle´mence also took to her social media to share the news by mentioning, “If all goes well, I will represent France at the Miss Universe 2021 contest next December.” She further stated that she took the decision to represent France at Miss Universe 2021 with utmost calm and is hoping everyone would support her decision and support Amandine. Clemence mentioned it takes courage to pursue your dreams and break down barriers. The beauty queen added, “I would prepare myself; I would take the time to invest myself in my projects, those that are close to my heart (and there are so many!)! Make-up, hairstyle, catwalk, project! I would be ready for this crazy show I dream of! Know that I always listen to my heart that I am convinced that nothing happens by chance!”

It should be noted that this decision of designation is made keeping things in mind like Miss France is held in December every year and if Miss France 2021 Amandine represented France at Miss Universe 2021, it could create conflict when she had to crown her successor as Miss Universe 2021 is also scheduled to take place in December. But with this decision, Miss France 2021 Amandine Petit will now compete at Miss Universe 2020 in May 2021 and she can turnover her crown or attend the Miss France 2022 coronation in December 2021.

The pageant fanatics have appreciated the decision made by the beauty queens and the organization and are hoping that Amandine and Clemence will start their preparation for the competition soon and make the people of France proud and happy.

Congratulations to the queens!
