Indira Ampiot was crowned Miss France 2023 on Saturday, 17th December 2022 at M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire. Later in her reign, it was announced that Indira will be the official representative of France at Miss Universe 2024. Indira Ampiot was 18 years of age when she was crowned Miss France and hails from Basse-Terre.
Not new to the pageantry, Indira was previously crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2022 and Miss Basse-Terre 2022 before winning Miss France. She is the fourth woman from Guadeloupe to win Miss France. The French beauty has just ended her reign as Miss France 2023 and feels very proud of being Miss France. “So proud to be surrounded by such exceptional women. Being part of the Miss France family is a privilege that I am proud of. Values of elegance, respect and determination make Miss France famous. You are the embodiment of kindness, beauty, intelligence and grace”, she quoted.
Indira will now take the year to prepare to represent her country at Miss Universe 2024. The 73rd edition of Miss Universe will be held next year in Mexico where Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
