Jodie is a Finance Administrator by profession, and has been passionate about Art since a very young age. She spends her free time researching, learning and practising new tips and techniques from self-taught artists. The beauty queen speaks fluent English and Spanish. She wants to continue her studies further and wants to become an accountant one day. Jodie abides by the motto, “choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life.”

Jodie’s idea of a perfect day is a warm sunny day spent outdoors in the company of family and friends. Talking about her country Gibraltar, Jodie says, “Gibraltarians helpful and caring nature. We tend to unite as a community and offer help and support at times of need.” Entering the pageant has been a challenge for her, as it was a little out of her comfort zone. She believes that challenges inspire people to grow in many ways.

Expressing her desire to win the Miss Gibraltar pageant, Jodie says, “Becoming Miss Gibraltar would give me great pride to be able to represent and promote my country abroad, being the proud Gibraltarian that I am. I hope to do this whilst also being a great role model for our younger generation. It would also be a great privilege to be given the opportunity to work and be part of an organisation who help and support our community.”

Miss Gibraltar pageant is produced by Santos Productions for the Ministry of Culture at the Alameda Open Air Theatre. The first ever Miss Gibraltar contest was organised by the Vox Newspaper. Won by Viola Abudarham, the first election of Miss Gibraltar took place at a dance organised at the CFCA hall situated at the southern end of Main Street. One of the shocking facts is that the first Miss Gibraltar was married at the time she won the crown. It was only after the pageant was resumed in 1964, the rules were modified.
