Janice Sampere is the newly appointed Miss Gibraltar 2021 and will represent Gibraltar at the upcoming edition of Miss World. She succeeds Miss Gibraltar 2019 Celine Bolaños. Miss Gibraltar organization did not host the 2020 edition given the social lockdown due to COVID 19, and the subsequent restrictions and implications.

Miss Gibraltar Office, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture in supporting the Government's financial caution following the economic impact of Covid-19, will also not be holding Miss Gibraltar 2021 this year. However, to ensure Gibraltar’s representation at Miss World, Miss Gibraltar organization appointed Janice Sampere as this year’s Miss Gibraltar.

Janice was adjudged the first runner-up at Miss Gibraltar 2019. Janice gave a strong performance at the 2019 edition earning her rightful place. The stunning beauty is a tax associate by profession. The diva is a bilingual as she can fluently speak English and Spanish.

A ceremony will also be held shortly at the Mayor's Parlour to crown Janice as Miss Gibraltar 2021. Janice will carry out the duties and assume full responsibilities as Miss Gibraltar 2021 and will represent our country at the Miss World scheduled to take place in December in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In 2019, Miss Gibraltar 2019 Celine Bolaños represented her country at Miss World 2019 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 40. However, she did place in the Top 27 at the Talent Competition. The country holds one Mis World title under its belt.
