Merna Ayman Hosny, the second runner-up of Miss World Egypt 2017, has been appointed Miss Grand Egypt 2017 and will now travel to Vietnam to compete in Miss Grand International 2017, finale whereof is slated to be held on 25th October 2017.
Merna is 25 years of age and stands tall at 169 cm. She is a Pharmacy graduate from German University in Cairo. Her hobbies include recycling old stuff, travelling, acting, and helping others. Her talents are doing handmade stuff and dancing. While currently, she is concentrating on the pageant, earlier she was working in a medical company as a medical representative. Merna desires to be a very successful person and always believe in the motto "Work until you don't need to introduce yourself."
The finale of Miss World Egypt 2017 held on Sunday night at Misr Opera House Theatre in Giza, Egypt, was won by Farah Shaaban who became Egypt's representative for Miss World 2017 after defeating twenty-two other candidates vying for the title. While Hadeer Tariq finished as the first runner-up and will represent Egypt in Miss International 2017, Merna Ayman Hosny finished as the second runner-up and earned the privilege to represent Egypt in Miss Grand International 2017.
