“Technically they tried extortion, they threatened me by saying, you can get your passport back if you pay 3000 dollars”. She added that the security guards made it clear that the organisation wasn’t allowed to hold her passport. Arna further added that she is never going to pay the pageant’s owners for handing over her passport. “I have never been so nervous or feel as bad my whole life” she said.

Arna also mentioned about her current state of mind and added that she is at peace and happy now. She is glad that the madness is finally over and the beauty queen is now looking forward to going home.

News of Miss World Iceland 2015, Arna Yr Jonsdottir taking the fat shaming fight to the pageant owner of Miss Grand International beauty contest in Las Vegas went viral last weekend, with a variety reports hailing Jonsdottir for reclaiming her body image.

I’m going to get my passport, I’m going home and if they try anything further I’ll bury them, and I can do that” Jonsdottir says on her Snappchat. She further added, “I can’t go anywhere if I don’t have my passport so I’m a bit nervous”.

Amidst the controversy of Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir’s weight wherein she was forced by the MGI Organiser to lose weight, Arna decided to leave the contest and she called it off.
