Top Asian performances at Miss Grand International

The Miss Grand International pageant, with only 10 years of existence, is emerging as one of the biggest and prestigious beauty pageants in the industry. Over the decade, stunning delegates from all over the world represent their countries and compete for the coveted gold crown.

The divas representing the Asian countries have performed exceptionally well in the previous editions of the beauty pageant as they showcase immense dedication and focus to perform their best on-stage and make their respective country proud.

So, here are some of Asia’s best performers at Miss Grand International in the last decade –

At Miss Grand International 2013, Annalie Forbes of Philippines managed a top placement for the country as well as the continent with her adjudgement as the third runner-up. Later in 2014, Thailand’s Parapadsorn Disdamrong and Indonesia’s Margenie Winarti gave their best performance and finished among the Top 10 finalists.

Later in 2015, India’s Vartika Singh created history by finishing at the highest placement for the country as well as Asia as the second runner-up. Indonesia’s Ariska Putri Pertiwi created another historic moment at Miss Grand International 2016 as she won the golden crown.

The 2017 edition saw another strong performance by Philippines’ Elizabeth Durado Clenci who was adjudged as the second runner-up. India’s highest placement streak was taken up a notch by Meenakshi Chaudhary at Miss Grand International 2018 as she finished as the first runner-up making her country proud.

Thailand came back for a top placement in 2019 with a new record as Arayha Suparurk was placed as a second runner-up. Samantha Bernardo of Philippines, who also emerged as one of the favourites for the title, finished as the first runner-up at Miss Grand International 2020.

At the most recent edition, Miss Grand International 2021, Vietnam’s Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien created history for the country as she was crowned as the new queen. The diva is currently on her Latin tour, where she is visiting South American countries with the organization. 

Asia is definitely the leading continent in beauty pageants with incredible talent being produced each year consisting of strong, driven and inspiring queens competing, representing and making the respective countries as well as the continent proud.
