The grand coronation for the 8th edition of Miss Grand International i.e., Miss Grand International 2020 will be held on 27th March 2021 at Show DC Hall, Bangkok, Thailand. The delegates from all over the world will compete for the crown and Miss Grand International 2019 Valentina Figuera from Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The beauty competition was originally scheduled to take place in Venezuela but the organization decided to shift it to Thailand due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to close sources, while the stunning divas are under their 14-day quarantine period at the Golden Tulip Sovereign Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand; Miss Grand Kenya 2020 Irene Ng’endo has been admitted to a hospital as she was tested positive for the coronavirus. She is under recovery and Miss Grand International organization is yet to comment on the rumours.
Irene Ng’endo is a Mathematics and Computer Science student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She is an international model who describes herself as a woman of faith and is driven to look within for the solutions to humanity and discover what her contributions can be. She believes that pageantry avails a platform to be heard more and to participate in positive social change and the reason she decided to participate in pageants was that she was hooked onto the challenging part of the pageants as she feels that these challenges help the youth to bring in the change they want to see in the world.
With the platform Miss Grand Kenya 2020 provides Irene, she wants to help and influence positive social change in society. She’s a goodwill ambassador for a non-profit organization called Makaya Hub; a technological platform geared towards safe motherhood in marginalized communities in Kenya and wide across Africa.
Everyone’s waiting for the confirmation from the organization on whether Miss Grand Kenya 2020 Irene Ng’endo joins back the competition or not. The organization and the hotel staff have been taking necessary precautions needed for the safety of the divas and after Irene being tested positive, they have been very cautions.
We wish the diva speedy recovery and hopes to see her back in the competition!
