With the official confirmation coming from Miss Universe organization that the 2020 edition will be held on 16th May 2021 in USA, there’s a lot of pressure riding on the host country delegate Asya Branch’s shoulders to welcome all the contestants.
With the covid-19 protocols to be kept in mind, Asya will have the responsibility to represent her country with absolute grace and respect. If Asya wins the crown in her own home, it will be the 9th crown for her country.
Asya has already created records as she became the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss Mississippi USA before winning Miss USA. Following her win, Branch became the first woman from her state to be crowned Miss USA.
The 22-year-old attended Harvard University for summer school. Asya graduated from the University of Mississippi and runs her own company called Branch Beauty. The cosmetics line has been placed on hold since she has won Miss USA.
Asya has been advocating for gun laws and amendments and shows true potential to win Miss Universe crown. Since she will be the host delegate, it will be a different experience for the beauty queen. What are your views on her placement?
