Miss Guyana 2019 Joylyn Anita Conway is proudly representing Guyana at the 69th edition of the Miss World competition which commenced 20th November 2019 in London, United Kingdom. Representatives from 130 countries will be competing for the coveted Miss World title on 14th December 2019 at the ExCeL London, in London, United Kingdom where Miss World 2018 Vanessa Ponce of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Miss Guyana 2019 Joylyn Anita Conway arrived in London two weeks ahead of the commencement of Miss World 2019 competition where she completed her media tour and final training/preparation with top trainers in the UK. Prior to her EU media tour, Joylyn was humbled to have started her training in Guyana and grateful to have met and trained with some of Guyana’s best.

Miss Conway left Guyana on October 18th and spent a little over a week in New York as part of her USA media tour where she met with members of the diaspora, made several appearances, conducted interviews and continued some preparation to enhance her media/training skills for the international competition.
Joylyn is prepared, overjoyed and excited to represent Guyana on the international stage as well as use the opportunity to promote her Beauty with a Purpose project, STEM GIRL GLOW. This unique project reflects Joylyn’s passion for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Adding to the STEM theme, is Guyana’s national gift which was inspired by the lighted torch of Joylyn’s STEM project, entitled “GLOW” was created by upcoming artist, Chelsea Ramotar. For the Top Model competition, Miss Guyana will be wearing a STEM inspired gown, titled “CIRCUITRY” designed by Guyana’s own, Randy Madray.
One of the highlights of the STEM inspired theme will be Guyana’s national dress, dubbed the fabric of the Guyanese people and is the first of its kind in Guyana and the Caribbean. This fully customized and digitally printed dress was printed by Impressions Inc., Guyana’s top marketing/promotions company and designed by Randy Madray. In keeping with the STEM theme, Guyana’s talent performance is a contemporary dance to Leona Lewis's Footprints in the Sand. In addition to this, and touching on our Guyanese culture in reaching unity, economic growth and transformation, Joylyn will be introducing a new folklore character to the Masquerade family, Mother Reacher aka Mami-lang-arms, a Randy Madray creation for her Dance of the World presentation (more details to follow).
