A student of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master of Public Health, Kim Layne of Nampa is Miss Idaho USA 2020 and will be representing Idaho at Miss USA 2020 competition. She was previously crowned as Miss Idaho Teen USA 2012. She succeeds Shelby Brown Miss Idaho USA 2019 of Boise.
Born and raised in Southern Idaho, Kim Layne has a keen interest in medicine & love for animals. She explains that her love for animals may be hereditary as her father is from farming family. She had spent a lot of her childhood with animals and medicines.
Kim Layne was introduced to beauty pageants when her friends encouraged her to participate in Miss Idaho Teen USA competition and she won. Even though she did some modeling in nearby Boise, she eventually reached a point where she had to choose between her studies and he career in modeling. The 25-year-old model chose the fomer.
Layne plans to use her modeling platform to aware the people about the stigmas and associated with neurological conditions. She plans to pursue her career in public health, addressing health risks for animals and humans. Kim is also very interested in research and providing animals care and public health strategies during natural disasters and emergencies.
Kim Layne will take the stage at the Miss USA 2020 competition during the spring of 2020. Sabrina Ripley of Boise was crowned Miss Idaho Teen USA 2020 along with Kim Layne. She will be representing Idaho at Miss Teen USA 2020.
