Macy Christianson of Minot was crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2020 on 21st September 2019 at Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center. Macy succeeds Samantha Redding Miss North Dakota USA 2019 of Burlington for the crown. She will be representing North Dakota at Miss USA 2020 in the spring 2020.
Macy graduated from the University of North Dakota with Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology. She wants to pursue her higher education and tends to go back to studying in order to attain her master’s degree. She wants to major in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Macy now travels around the state where she gives speeches to the children in schools and advocate them against drunk and drive. Macy’s anti-drunken driving advocacy stems from a decision her older brother made to drink and drive. Her Catholic faith also shapes her prolife views. When she decided to become involved in pageants, she did it because she wanted to do it so that she can impact lives.
Macy enjoys playing sports, dancing, snow boarding and anything that is outdoors and gives you a thrill. She was a three-sport athlete in high school and continues to play for fun and coach basketball. Macy is a trained ballet dancer and has traveled to Salt Lake City and New York City to dance with both Bolshoi Ballet and Ballet West.
Along with Macy Christianson being crowned Miss North Dakota USA 2020, Amanda Higginbotham of Grand Forks was crowned Miss North Dakota Teen USA 2020. Both super models will be representing North Dakota at Miss USA 2020 and Miss Teen USA 2020 respectively.
